Sex chatroom no cridit card - Ddclient daemon not updating

I know just enough to be dangerous in Linux, and as a Raspberry Pi newbie, this was really helpful! When I run “sudo ddclient -daemon=0 -debug -verbose -noquiet” I get a string of failed commands at the end (posted below). FAILED: updating Home: authorization failed (HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized FAILED: Server: nginx FAILED: Date: Sat, GMT FAILED: Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 FAILED: Content-Length: 7 FAILED: Connection: close FAILED: WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm=”RESTRICTED” FAILED: Accept-Ranges: bytes FAILED: X-Varnish: 2553545853 FAILED: Age: 0 FAILED: Via: 1.1 varnish FAILED: FAILED: badauth) Can’t exec “sendmail”: No such file or directory at /usr/sbin/ddclient line 1485.

In order for the reports to work Open DNS needs my IP address.

But my IP address is dynamic so every time it changes my reports break. I set up my Raspberry Pi to automatically update my IP address on Open DNS. Thanks so much Dave for documenting these instructions.

Like many people I use Open DNS instead of my internet provider’s DNS.

In addition to the speed gains I get (because it’s faster than my provider’s DNS) I like to look at the reports Open DNS provides.

First, take a look at and Free DNS to decided which service you like.

We have included exampels for both services in the file found below. It should take you no more than five minutes to register for the service of your choice.

Don't add quotes around the password or add commas/backslashes after each line. So I wrote a simple perl module to take care of updates.

I developed it thinking, as everyone does, that you have to grab your external ip and feed it to Namecheap with your basic parameters.

Remember you do not have to pay anything and no one gets any credit or recognition for your visit.

Once registered you need to choose a host name you want to use. For our example we will be using "calomel.gotdns.org".

This will allow you to give out a host name like "calomel.gotdns.org" to friends, family or colleagues pointing to your dynamic IP your use for home.
